People in Chorley and South Ribble are being encouraged to give their hearts some love this Valentine’s Day, 14 February. The plea comes from NHS Chorley and South Ribble Clinical Commissioning Group as latest statistics show that there are 4,731 expected cases of people in Chorley and South Ribble living with Atrial Fibrillation – a heart condition that causes an irregular and often abnormally fast heart rate*.
The NHS and Public Health England (PHE) are extremely well prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases. The NHS has put in place measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff while also ensuring services are available to the public as normal.
