STI Self-Testing Kits

Good sexual health health is an important aspect of overall physical and emotional health and well-being. It is central to the development of some of the most important relationships during our lives.

Any person who is sexually active could be negatively affected by their sexual health decisions and may need to take precautions or access sexual health services to maintain a positive and healthy sexual life.

The Blackpool and Lancashire Sexual Health Service offer a confidential service including contraception options, testing and treatment for Sexually Transmitted infections, advice and information.

The service continues to operate in clinical settings to ensure residents across Blackpool and Lancashire have access to Sexual health services  however all appointments are currently conducted by telephone. Anyone calling will be assessed and offered further treatment should this be necessary.

Free home testing kits to screen for sexually transmitted infections are also available for people of all ages via Blackpool and Lancashire Sexual Health Services.

To recieve a postal kit, you can complete a short online request form which will enable a bespoke testing kit to be tailored towards you. The kit contains easy to follow instructions on how to collect samples for:

  • Chlamydia
  • Gonorrhoea
  • HIV
  • Syphilis.

The testing kits are posted in discreet packaging and all postage costs are included.  

Results will be given within two weeks from return postage to your desired contact method i.e. mobile phone, email etc. This will be chosen and confirmed when completing the online order request.

Postal kits are available for anyone over 16 years of age, living in Chorley, South Ribble and Greater Preston.
