Helen Curtis, Director of Quality and Performance
Helen joined the NHS in 1982 via the National Administrative Training Scheme, having graduated in Government, Politics and Modern History.
Before joining the CCG, Helen was Governance Director at Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust where she was responsible for the Quality Strategy of the organisation, Patient Safety, Clinical Effectiveness, Risk Management, Corporate Governance and Health and Safety.
Helen’s focus on patient safety followed completion of the Patient Safety Officer Executive Development Programme at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) in Boston in 2008. Following that, she led the team from Pennine Acute that participated in the highly successful AQuA North West Reducing Mortality Collaborative. Helen is also deputy accountable officer.
